We are seeking an experienced and analytical Tax Accountant to handle complex tax engagements and advanced return preparations. In this role, you will leverage your comprehensive accounting expertise to navigate intricate tax scenarios, consult directly with clients on advanced matters, and oversee critical compliance and filing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Tax Preparation & Client Consultations

• Advanced returns: Prepare and manage complex tax returns that go beyond the scope of basic filings.

• Complex client meetings: Meet with clients signing returns that involve detailed technical questions, ensuring clear and accurate explanations of their tax positions.

• Comprehensive document tracking: Coordinate with clients for missing documentation discovered during advanced return preparation, and maintain meticulous oversight of physical folders, processing, and file closures.

Extensions, Filings & Administrative Oversight

• Extension workflows: Manage tax return extension requests, execute filings, maintain accurate extension logs, and handle extension-related invoicing.

• E-Filing & Status tracking: Process digital e-signed returns, save copies to the database, e-file complex returns, and proactively monitor filing statuses with tax authorities.

• Corporate & Business compliance: Handle entity setups, log and track the progress of business formations, file business annual reports, and process client check requests.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven professional experience handling advanced tax returns and complex tax accounting.

• Strong knowledge of current tax laws, compliance standards, and tax software platforms.

• Excellent communication skills for addressing intricate client questions and guiding them through detailed tax returns.
